Dear Festers,

I hope you are all home safe, sound, clean and dry! Thanks to you all for helping to celebrate the 20th Midsummerfest. I don't know where MSF will go from here, but it's been a great 20 years because of you!!!

Special thanks to Anne & Jacqueline for handling the organization of the food, to Cinda for creating the amazing Adventure, to Steve D. for MCing the Travesty, to Becca, Steve D., and Jacqueline for helping haul equipment up from Cambridge, and to Anne, Steve M., Jacqueline, Cinda, Mike, Elisabeth, Joceline, Morton, Sarah, Jason, Gavin, Diane, Wil & Chris for helping out on the Work Weekends.

I'd like to wrap things up quickly this year as I expect to be pretty busy in a couple of weeks ;-)

As you have probably figured out, I miss a lot of what goes on at MSF and only get to experience it vicariously through chats with you and through your MSF Mosaic contributions. I'd love to get a whole passel of contributions for this special anniversary year, if you're willing. Long, short, text, drawings, prose, poetry, whatever you feel like contributing will be greatly appreciated. (And not to apply too much pressure, but it will be much, much more vivid and easier to write it now while the memories are fresh!) (Examples from previous years are available on the website.)

Also, if you have pictures (analog or digital) I'd love to get copies. I'll scan them and put them on a CD (along with a copy of the Travesty) for distribution at the MSF Reunion Party in November.

I'd also love to get copies of the lyrics (and music if you have it) to any songs performed in the Travesty (as well as any you'd like to see included in the Cacophony) as well as scripts for the archive.

Suggestions about making things run more smoothly would also be appreciated! Amendments to the Handbook, the Duty Roster, the food plan, whatever.... (Based on conversations so far, a few changes in the offing are: 1) a much less ambitious Adventure which will occur between breakfast and lunch on Saturday, probably lasting no more than an hour; 2) a separate food prep and service area from the picnic table and the Deck; 3) sticking to a schedule for Opening and Closing Ceremonies, group picture and meals - if you're not there you miss it, but you can count on when things will be happening so you won't have to wait around and _not_ do other things; 4) "Clean-up Half-Hour" after breakfast on Sunday - taking all the clean-up tasks off the Duty Roster and making it one big joint effort). I welcome discussion about these and any other issues you care to discuss.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Uncle Fester

P.S. Some people have expressed interest in ordering t-shirts. I can do a re-order if we get the minimum run of 12. Shirts will be $13 for t-shirts and $16 for long-sleeved t-shirts plus an extra $2 for XXL size (these are the actual costs).

If you're interested, send me your style and size preference.

If I get up to 12 by Friday, I will place an order.
