Unlike other religious web sites, we make all of our information available to everyone for free.

That is the good news. The bad news is that we are operating on a shoestring.  One large budgetary item is over $300 per month to CIHost, our Web Hosting service.  (There are dozens of free or low cost web hosting services on the Web, but none can come near to handling our traffic.) A much larger cost are  reference books for our library. We have only one staff person who is paid a salary. In 2002, his earnings were about 2/3 the minimum wage. This is not great for a professional with a rare specialty -- a religious generalist. Meanwhile, banner ads are becoming less effective, as Internet surfers train themselves to ignore ads. We are relying increasingly on people who feel that we have a needed message and who want to support us.
